Bidding via Excel file

Excel bidding is usually used when there are several items in the auction, but only one winner is declared based on the total value.

Important to note: The Excel (prepared by the organizer) required for bidding can be downloaded from the overview page. When bidding, after filling in the Excel, the file must be uploaded to the bidding interface, and the system will validate and accept the bid values after pressing the Submit bids button. Each time a new bid is entered, the spreadsheet must be filled out and uploaded to the interface. The system will only accept bids from the template uploaded by the organizer, but the downloaded template can be versioned and renamed.

On the overview page, two settings in the auction rules (bottom right segment) indicate that the auction is being conducted using Excel bidding:
  • Bidding by Excel file: yes/no
  • Template for bidding by Excel
In addition, the item information on the overview page will indicate which cell of the worksheet the organizer has defined as the source from which the data will be accepted as a bid.
