There are several different types of auctions available to organizers in Fluenta, both in the buying and selling directions.
English (traditional) auctions:
Under certain conditions and settings, participants are free to bid on the auctioned items throughout the auction time specified in the auction timeline.
Depending on the settings, your own ranking and / or the best bid is visible.
Selling: bidding starts from the starting price and the value increases.
Buying: bidding starts from the starting price and the value decreases.
Ticking auctions:
The system decreases or increases the value of the bid by a fixed amount at predefined intervals. Participants can decide whether or not to accept the currently displayed price level.
Japanese:
The participant must accept the bid in each round as long as they can commit to the given price level. If you no longer confirm a bid in a particular round, the auction is over for that item for you, but you will see the next best bid (if the bidding continues). The auction ends when the last participant has decided not to confirm the price level of the current round.
Selling: the bidding starts from the opening price set by the organizer and increases in predetermined increments.
Buying: the bidding starts from the opening price set by the organizer and decreases in predetermined increments.
Dutch:
In this type of auction, you only need to accept the bid in the round that has the price level that is appropriate for you. The first participant to accept the current bid for an item will be the winner for that item.
Selling: the bidding starts from the opening price set by the organizer and decreases in predetermined increments.
Buying: the bidding starts from the opening price set by the organizer and increases in predetermined increments.
